For Big Data this approach will not work.In Big Data data can be Structured, semi-structured & unstructured. Video is an example for unstructured data.

The Transport data stores model, capacity, distance & availability of that vehicle.The main advantages of Big Data is the Increase of storage capacities, Increase of processing power, availability of data.
